2017 Sees Steady Growth
Another year is complete and it was one in which we improved steadily in every area. We missed our box quantity goal by a little bit due to ongoing difficulties in getting vetted military addresses, but we still shipped 16% more than our previous year. Progress forward is never a disappointment!

We also extended our reach in the community, forming new partnerships, growing relationships with current partners, reaching out to local media, and adding some eager new volunteers to our family.

Thanks again to everyone who contributed in any way to helping us reach out to so many American troops with holiday care packages this year. Here's a look back to our second year as a non-profit.

 In a nutshell...

  • 208 boxes sent in November (original goal 225)
    • Total of 2200 pounds (up 33% from 2016)
    • Over $3500 in shipping costs
    • Impacting over 3700 military personnel in all four of five U.S. branches of service - no Coast Guard addresses were available this year.
    • Original quantity goal impacted by difficulty obtaining addresses for deployed military units, though it stil represents a 16% increase over 2016. Addresses continue to be an ongoing risk in  full meeting our goals .
