We kicked off Box Preparation Week last Saturday with a party to make 875 treat "rolls" to send in some of our care packages. Armed with over 200 pounds of candy and other small items like emery boards, lip balm, balloons, toys, and jingle bells, our staff and volunteers filled rolls, wrapped them in festive paper, then tied them up into tidy little packages that ensure everyone who enjoys the contents of each box has something to open on Christmas Day. (And even though there's still about 200 pounds of candy left, worry not... every last ounce will be used to fill up the boxes. After all, who wants styrofoam packing peanuts when you can get M&Ms and Twix?)

Now we're putting the finishing touches on the biggest task... shopping and filling up 175 boxes with all the wonderful items we've collected! Thank to everyone who's helped us in so many ways as we prepare to launch our biggest shipment yet. Every product, every dollar, every letter, every hour... we couldn't do it without YOU!
